Are your earrings handmade?
Yes. All earrings are designed and hand-embroidered by me, one stitch at a time.
Each pair is made slowly and released in small batches.
What materials do you use for your earrings?
Earrings are finished with 14k gold-filled or sterling silver ear wires. Perfect for sensitive ears.
Can sold-out earrings be remade?
Yes. A sold out design may reappear in future releases, or they can be requested as a custom earring.
Do you offer custom earrings?

Why are your earrings priced the way they are?
My earrings are made slowly and in small batches. Each pair is hand-embroidered by me, and stitching alone takes roughly around 4 to 5 hours to complete. My price reflects all the time and love I put into creating each piece.
Are your photographs digital or film?
All photographs are shot by me on film, with my dad's old camera from the 80's.
My prints are all raw and unedited - imperfections are what make film so beautiful.
What sizes are available for film prints?
I currently offer:
4 × 4 inch prints (purchased as mix-and-match sets)
8 × 10 inch prints
11x14 inch prints
If you are after a specific size, feel free to reach out! I'd be more than happy to print a perfect size for you.
How often do you release new work?
Irregularly! New pieces are released when they’re ready, not on a fixed schedule.
Some months I'm more inspired to create than others, I try to let my creativity and energy guide my inventory. I share upcoming releases on Instagram @arete.banff
Shipping Policy
Where do you ship?
I currently ship within Canada and internationally (excluding the United States).
At this time, I am unable to ship to the U.S. due to ongoing tariffs and customs complications.
What shipping methods do you use?
Cards and unframed film prints are shipped via standard untracked mail within Canada. This helps keep shipping costs accessible for small paper goods. Please note that standard mail is not insured and delivery times may vary. There is an option to upgrade to tracked shipping at checkout if you prefer.
Earrings are shipped via tracked shipping to ensure your piece arrives safely. Orders that include earrings will automatically ship tracked, even if cards or prints are included in the same order.
International orders are shipped via tracked service only.
How much is shipping?
Within Canada:
Standard Mail (Untracked): $4
Tracked Shipping (Earrings or Upgrade): $15
International (excluding USA):
Tracked Shipping: $28 CAD
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on the items in your cart.
Will I have to pay customs or duties?
International orders may be subject to customs fees, duties, taxes, or import charges upon arrival in your country. These charges are determined by your local customs authority and are the responsibility of the buyer. I’m unable to predict or control these fees.
Do you offer local pickup?
Yes - local pickup and drop-off is available in Canmore and Banff. Timing and location will be arranged by email after your order is placed.
How long will my order take to ship?
Orders are typically processed within 3 - 5 business days, unless otherwise noted.
Custom earrings are made to order and require 3 - 4 weeks before shipping.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Due to the handmade nature of my work, all sales are final.
